HELLO! I'm Colleen. A highly caffeinated lady obsessed with jumpsuits and shoes...camera in hand...and ready to document killer moments.
But a little more than that...I'm an emotional wreck when it comes to creating irreplaceable moments and memories.
My family didn't have much growing up, so real memories that are shared over family get togethers and reminisced about are the ones that stuck and the ones that bring me back to that exact moment.
I’ve been photographing weddings for over 10 years and I feel like I've truly understood what it means to document those moments and how to preserve those for generations.
So...when I'm not an emotional mess over memories; I love helping other entrepreneurs and giving back to my community through special projects and volunteer work.
I'm a Veteran, Mother, Wife and Entrepreneur. Stanley is my lil man. Family is everything to me.

with stories of my parents suffering and poor living conditions; I was emotionally connected and petitioned to go "boots on ground".
The experience was out of this world and a huge privilege.
I will never forget when the little Hmong children came up to me and thanked me for helping build them a school, for I had been the only American Hmong person they'd ever seen.
My world can never be the same after this experience. And since then, I've been dreaming up ways to raise my own 50k to build a school on behalf of my parents. A portion of all my photography earnings goes towards making this happen.
I am a member of a creative entrepreneurship worldwide group called The Rising Tide Society. Our motto is community over competition. But more than that, it's a community founded on friendship and helping one another.
In a single day; we raised over 50,000 to build a school for Pencils of Promise. Now, here is where it gets a little sappy.
We weren't matched with a school or location until early 2018. When I found out we got matched with Laos...I broke into tears.
As a child of Hmong refugees; my parents came from Laos when they escaped the Vietnam War in the early 80's. Having grown up

Colleen did an amazing job on my wedding photos!! I really wanted to get iconic Chicago photos and Colleen suggested so many beautiful locations. It was really amazing to watch her work. She could somehow scan an area and quickly figure out how to get the best shot. I am not exaggerating when I say Colleen made me and my husband look like models. I am already plotting working with Colleen to do anniversary photos!
Colleen was so amazing to work with and we can't recommend her enough!!! She did our engagement pictures and wedding at my parents winery in door county. We are so happy with everything. Colleen really went above and beyond before, during AND after the wedding. She took extra time to design a separate album for my mom and order specialty prints for my grandma.
